Have You Ever Configured Your Browser's Proxy Setting?

When you surf through the internet, you leave a mark on every website that you visit. This takes off a certain level of your privacy. The mark that you leave behind is your IP address.
Due to internet security as well as business wise, the internet allows you to browse anonymously by using proxy.

The first time that I heard about it, I didn’t pay so much attention. Recently, a friend of mine… knowing that I am usually on the internet, asked me about proxy. It was hard instructing them how to do it over the phone.

I know that there are a lot of video on how to configure proxy setting but I wanted to make it a bit personal…

Here’s a video that I have created on how to set up the proxy on Mozilla browser.

Your Computer And Your Online Business

I have been writing before about things on how to start an internet business. Looking back, I realized that there is one thing that I have left out and it’s the most important… in fact the very first thing that one should have to have an online business. You’re right… the computer!

Your computer is the first thing that you must have and your first tangible asset when it comes to having an online business. Taking care of it is as important as taking care of your internet business.

I remember when I first started my online business. What I have is a laptop. It was handy having one for my internet business since I can bring it anywhere. It never crossed my mind that it will one day cause me trouble. It crashed! How careless and negligent have I been that I never had a back up of my files!

Anyway, here are the things that I learn from that experience.
  • Always have a back up for all important files.
  • Have a spare unit so that when one crashes, you still have another.

I know those are very common but when you are new to the internet business... that is you don’t even know the meaning of SERP or SEO, these are things you would likely overlook since when it comes to articles and blog about internet business, computers are not much talked about.

Brainstorming For My Internet Business Vision

One of the important things that you have to establish when starting up an internet business is visions. These visions will determine where your business will be in the next years to come.

This visions will actually be your guide and will help you be focused. It is your business map. You will not be successful if you do not have vision.

You don't just state a vision and simply say... My vision is to have an internet business and earn money. Whoah! That's not how it is done.

Your vision needs to be specific. You should make it clear what you want to attain, how you will attain it and when is your targetted time.

Don't make visions that you know is impossible to attain. Make it realistic and attainable. Setting it too high and not realizing it will make it a "dream" and not a vision.

If you think you are having difficulty on this, brainstorm with your friends, business partners... be resourceful!

My Experience With Google Chrome

One of the things that I usually do before I do tasks for my internet business is to visit the blogs that I have for my daily google alert. I do this to get me updated on things that are related to my whatever I am interested in.

I love reading other people’s blog since I get to have different views from different people, although there are times when I get to read the very same post in different website. Here’s one blog that I have read, it’s from Chris.

On his video, he introduced MSE 360. I wanted to try it but when I visited it, it was not functional and I only got “Major Update Coming Soon”. Maybe I’ll try it again some other time.

He also mentioned using google chrome. I used it before but decided to uninstall it when I noticed that it affected my browsing using Mozilla. It was weird. After that, I haven’t tried installing google chrome again.

I’ve been using Mozilla and I am really satisfied with it. I seldom use IE, I find pages slow to load when I use IE. Anyway, just like what Chris said on that video, the choice is always up to you.
