The best way to start an internet business is by affiliate marketing. This is where many internet marketers earn a lot of money.

I am not saying that it is easy. I personally believe that there is no easy and short cut way to earn money. It takes hard work and dedication. Just like any other business, you need to have a set of realistic and achievable goals on affiliate marketing coupled with proven internet marketing strategies to make it to success.

Now, when we talk about affiliate marketing, there are three basic elements that you need. These are the product to promote, the affiliate link and lastly the place to promote.

You can choose any product that offers affiliate program. There are a lot out there. The product should be related to your chosen niche. Let’s say, if you knew you’re good at designing and maintaining blogs, you can promote Woothemes since this is related to web designing.

The next thing is your affiliate link. How and where do you get this? As we have mentioned, you need to promote a product and most products has affiliate programs. All you need to do to get an affiliate link is to sign up on the products affiliate program and presto!... you will be provided with an affiliate link. This link is what you will use to promote your product.

Not all websites welcomes affiliate links. In fact there are websites who loath over those who put affiliate links on their posts, shouts and status messages. Promoting is actually extensive that I think I need to have a separate entry for it. Just the same, I will have to say that the best place for promotion is on your own website.
